Solution Focused Brief
I have always had a passion to help others but started out in the business world helping organize companies and then offering ongoing financial and accounting services. I liked it a lot, I met really great people, and it was fun. But eventually, I found myself really wanting to help people and families, instead of companies.
So I made a decision to give up the security of my job, return to college, and become a counselor. It was a leap of faith and took a lot of hard work to make it happen, but I love it and have never looked back. Everyday, I get to watch people heal and find purpose in their lives!
I am now licensed in the States of Indiana and Florida, providing services both face-to-face and online. If you are interested in learning more about either, message me.
On a personal note, after the loss of my father to suicide, I became highly involved with this social issue and am a certified trainer of suicide intervention skills through LivingWorks.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Social Work at Valparaiso University. I then went on to Indiana University to complete my Masters of Social Work degree.

As a social worker, I come from a strong client-centered, “strength’s based” perspective. What this means is that while I may have information to share, you truly are the wisdom behind your own needs toward healing. Deep within, you have the insight, it just may be locked underground due to a lifetime of hurts and wounds. I am merely a facilitator in the process of unlocking those strengths.
I believe in a more holistic approach where healing and peace come by addressing all aspects of a person ~ the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. When any one of these areas is suffering, we suffer. By acknowledging all parts of us and working to bring them into balance, we grow stronger, happier, and healthier. Once that happens, amazing life changes occur!
